Have a septic-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • How often do you recommend having a septic tank pumped?

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the average household septic system should be inspected by a professional at least every three years. However, given the importance of septic system pumping, we recommend scheduling service either annually or bi-annually based on your tank's size.

  • How do I know if my system is not functioning properly?

The most common sign you need to schedule a septic system pumping is when your septic is backing up into the house or yard.

  • Should the top of my septic tank be accessible?

Yes! In order for any septic system pumping service to be completed, we will need access to the top of your septic tank.

  • Will a garbage disposal hurt my system?

Yes, removal of garbage disposals is required in order to pass Title 5. Garbage disposals lead to an increased need for septic system pumping due to the materials being added to the system.

  • What do you look for when you do an inspection?

Under Title 5, we make sure components work properly. This includes making sure the Distribution Box is working properly and is secure. A septic system that is not working properly will require more frequent septic system pumping.
